First of all, we demonstrate how writing learning journals encouraged the international students of the University of Yamanashi who participated in the Intercultural Communication class to develop the meta-cognitive knowledge and actions towards their learning purposes and processes. It helped the students to increase their active involvement in and ownership of learning. Secondly, we present a practical report on “Multicultural Understanding IV(Seminar)”, a general education subject that has been offered for the first time as a multicultural class at Yamagata University. We suggest a new viewpoint on the description of the “Reaction-paper” that was written by students at each session. Lastly, in the practical report on visitor sessions at Saga University, we present a new viewpoint regarding students' mutual evaluation for the presentations by international students. We also suggest a new form of Advanced Japanese Language class for undergraduate international students.}, pages = {55(227)--77(249)}, title = {異文化理解力とコミュニケーション能力の養成にむけて : 山梨大学・山形大学・佐賀大学の授業実践を事例として}, volume = {14}, year = {2008} }
