It is necessary to examine the reproduction of ”Forestry”under the frame of various productive activities based on forest and field used by farmers in a region dedicated to timber production. This paper deals with the statistical analysis of two FOA management strategies.The first is FOA engaged exclusively in timber production and the second is FOA engaged in the production of timber and special forest products.Based on the case study related to the spreading process of the Indigenous Products Operations of FOA in Oguni Town in Yamagata Prefecture, the significance of producing special forest products was verified.The results of the comparison showed that small and medium scale FOA in possession of special forest processing factory maintained profitability and employment capability than FOA without special forest products production.Results suggest that the Indigenous Products Operations of FOA in Oguni Town in Yamagata Prefecture became a relatively stable business.It was formed not as an equipment-investment type but as a labor-intensive type business,and it is expected that the relaxation of reduction on subsidy dependence will be subject of inside as well as outside criticism.}, pages = {21--40}, title = {森林組合における非木材生産物生産の現代的意義}, volume = {16}, year = {2010} }
