を実施したところ，その入学者数が男女別に判明したのは299学部(国立110，公立31，私立158)であった。そのうち，女性学生比率が30パーセント以上の理工系大学・学部を「高比率群」として，大学特性を分析した。しかし，該当する学部が65しかなく，それらの所在地や女性教員比率の特性を一般化するにはサンプルが少ないと思われた。一方で，入試状況の分析からは「高比率群」に該当する学部に関する知見が得られた。「低比率群」(女性学生比率10%以下)が，受験機会が多く，入試科目が少なく，合格が難しくない理工系学部であったのに対し「高比率群」は，受験機会が少なく，入試科目が多く，超難関に次く守合格難易度の理工系であった。つまり，理工系学部を希望する女子高校生たちは，合格しやすい学部を選択しない傾向があることが明らかになった。理工系学部に女性の学生が少ない一因として「積極的選択層」のみが入学していることを挙げた。　キーワード：男女共同参画基本計画,
